Solido
About the table
SOLIDO reimagines the coffee table as a study in precision and simplicity. Crafted from a single sheet of CNC-cut plywood, every component—tabletop, legs, and fastening system—is born from one flat plane. The design eliminates all waste: the outer "frame" splits into two halves that interlock to form sturdy, self-supporting legs, while the inner square becomes the tabletop, secured with tensioned ropes instead of screws or glue. This flat-pack marvel ships as a lightweight kit, assembling in minutes without tools—a nod to Scandinavian practicality and Japanese joinery traditions.

Design Philosophy
SOLIDO’s aesthetic is rooted in geometric purity. The table’s radiused corners and symmetrical cutouts mirror the precision of its CNC manufacturing, while the exposed plywood edges celebrate the material’s layered identity. Even the rope fastenings are intentional—natural jute strands contrast the plywood’s engineered structure, bridging organic warmth and industrial rigor. This is design without excess: no decorative frills, just honest geometry that serves both form and function.

Sustainability
From material sourcing to end-of-life, SOLIDO prioritizes planetary care. The FSC-certified plywood uses 30% less timber than traditional furniture-making, while water-based stains replace toxic finishes. By designing all parts from one sheet, offcuts are eradicated—a direct challenge to industry norms where up to 20% of materials become landfill. Even the ropes are biodegradable, ensuring the entire product can be disassembled and composted or recycled. SOLIDO isn’t just sustainable; it’s regenerative, proving eco-conscious design can coexist with mass-production viability.
